The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) is now soliciting Hazard Mitigation project proposals from all counties in Missouri and the City of St. Louis. Hazard Mitigation projects must (1) independently solve a problem, (2) be cost effective, and (3) be environmentally sound. Examples of eligible project types include, but are not limited to, infrastructure improvements, residential buyouts, critical facility generators, sirens, replacing low water crossings, tornado safe rooms, and other minor flood control projects. HMGP projects are funding at 75% federal share. A 25% non-federal match share is required.
Interested communities should review the attached document and submit a Notice of Interest (NOI) form by Tuesday, September 9, 2021.
If you have any questions, please contact Thomas Cunningham, Associate Planner, at TCunningham@MissouriState.edu.
